Children's eye exams

Good vision in infants is critical for development of the visual system  brain development and overall physical development.  Young children and infants think that they way they see is normal and they can't tell you that their vision is poor.  An eye exam is the only way to be sure.  

Poor vision in children robs the child of critical early learning because a child with poor vision is prevented from effectively exploring and understanding the world.  Children are also susceptible to may vision and eye movement problems, even life-threatening eye cancer. Most of these are treated best if they are caught early.  For all of these reasons, experts recommend that a child have his or her first doctor's eye examination at the age of six months. Read more...
